Obituary for Donald Roy Davis

Donald Roy Davis age 87, of Wenonah passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Born in Woodbury, he graduated from Clayton High School Class of 1950. He has been a resident of Wenonah for 57 years where he was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church of Wenonah and served as an elder and deacon. He was also an active member of the Wenonah Historical Society. He retired from West Deptford Twp. and Harrison Twp. where he served as a Construction Official. In his spare time he collected John Wayne memorabilia and antiques, enjoyed woodworking, loved animals, enjoyed history of the Southwest and was a Penn State and Eagles fan.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marian G. "Dolly" (Groff), children, Bonnie Bishop (Tom) of Upper Pittsgrove and Donald R. Davis, Jr. (Diane) of Williamstown, three grandchildren Donald Bishop, Donald Davis and Sara Jackson, several great grandchildren, and his siblings, Kenneth Davis, Jane Jackson and Perry Lou Terilla.

Family and friends may visit from 10 am to 11 am on Saturday, May 4th at Memorial Presbyterian Church of Wenonah, 202 E. Mantua Ave., Wenonah where a funeral service will be held at 11 am. Burial will be private at Wenonah Cemetery.
