On Saturday, October 12, 2019 Richard E. Tesauro, loving husband and father, peacefully passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 2, 1957 in Upper Darby, PA to Joseph and Joan Tesauro. He grew up in Bellmawr, NJ. After graduating from Gloucester Catholic High School, he attended Glassboro State College to then become a member of the New Jersey State Police 94th class. Rick proudly served 28 years reaching the rank of Captain where he enjoyed assignments like instructing at the Academy and leading as a station and region commander. After working 14 more years, he retired to Ocean City, NJ where he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, fishing, golfing and relaxing on the beach.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sue (Gotz); daughters, Jenna Tesauro, Danielle Tesauro, Andrea McLaughlin (Chris & Riley); his brother, Jay Tesauro (Renae); his sister, Lisa Tesauro-Holt; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051 and Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Trinity United Methodist Church, 284 Cedar Road, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday at the church. Cremation Private.
